Charles V. Lo Verde Jr.Born December 30, 1932 At Rest May 28, 2002 We would like to thank you for your expressions of sympathy regarding the passing away of President and Business Manager, Brother Charles V. Lo Verde Jr.. Many members attended the services, sent cards, flowers, or donations. Many called the Local office to offer prayers and support. The Lo Verde Family was overwhelmed by your thoughtfulness. Brother Lo Verde began working as a laborer fifty years ago in the Department of Water. In 1965, he became Business Manager of the Local. Throughout the past 37 years, it has been your support that has led to his many accomplishments. He was proud of his membership and felt he could rely upon them through difficult times. It seems appropriate that his most recent efforts in securing improvements for your pension were passed by the State of Illinois Legislature on the day he was laid to rest. The pension bill is currently awaiting the governors' approval. Again, your thoughts, prayers and kindnesses are deeply appreciated. Officers and Staff of Local 1092 |
